Timebase
Definition
The clock and timestamp convention used to align streams within an episode or dataset.
Why it matters
Without a declared timebase, video, actions, state, and events can appear synchronized while describing different moments.
Example
Nanoseconds from episode start, derived from one monotonic capture clock with per-stream offsets.
